I¬†ūüíö superfoods because I have been using them in my medical practice for more than 7 years, with phenomenal effects on both prevention and therapy. And the results have exceeded my expectations, allowing me to create personalised nutritional programs for all ages & needs and to offer my patients "the dream diet": eating healthy without being hungry, tired or depressed + zero cravings!!

As a pioneer in the field of Raw & Vegan Therapeutical Nutrition (and, more specifically, Superfoods Nutrition), I approached a variety of clinical cases that needed nutritional support. From cancers, leukemias, autoimmune diseases to losing weight or making a preventive lifestyle change, I was able to objectively evaluate how vital superfoods are for the quick & full recovery of a depleted organism, with the help of these natural "paramedics" (especially in the beginning of the therapy).

It was then easy for me to observe that all these dis-orders (the term practically means "lack of order") had one BIG thing in common: vitamin and mineral deficiencies. And this is where the story got interesting¬†‚ėĄ

Founder & CEO of the first clinic in Europe that uses superfoods to prevent or reverse illness, dr Olivia is a Medical Herbalist & Plant-based Nutritionist, located in Copenhagen. 

Trained & formed as a Medical Doctor, she works for the Pediatrics Hospital in the Medical Genetics department, whilst qualifying as Complementary Therapist & Raw-Nutritionist. 

With more than 7 years of practical experience in the field of micro-molecular nutrition, dr Olivia approaches both therapy & prevention clinical cases (Medical Portfolio below).

Medical Portfolio

The biliary tract (biliary tree or biliary system) refers to the liver, gall bladder and bile ducts, and how they work together to produce, store and secrete bile. Many disorders and diseases can affect these organ structures, some of which are specified below:

The gastrointestinal tract (GIT) consists of a hollow muscular tube starting from the oral cavity, where food enters the mouth, continuing through the pharynx, oesophagus, stomach and intestines to the rectum and anus, where food is expelled. Pathology of the area:

  • gastric ulcer
  • intestinal parasitosis
  • intestinal polyposis
  • mesenteric lymphadenitis
  • celiac disease
  • irritable bowel
  • perianal abscess / fistula

Cardiovascular (CV) and metabolic diseases are now the world’s top killers, even in developing nations, where they have eclipsed starvation and infectious diseases as the most critical health concerns. Common pathologies of the kind:

  • venous peripheral insufficiency
  • varicose disease
  • angina pectoris
  • valvular insufficiency
  • congenital anomalies (VSD, ASD)
  • arterial / venous stenosis
  • arterial hypertension
  • diabetes, dyslipidemia, obesity

The respiratory system consists of all the organs involved in breathing. These include the nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi and lungs. 
Most often encountered:

  • allergic rhinitis
  • asthmatic bronchitis
  • bronchial asthma
  • chronic sinusitis
  • tuberculosis
  • lung abscess

When we talk about the biological osteoarticular system, we are referring to bones, joints and their inter-connections (ligaments, articular cartilage, muscle tendons etc). Pathology of the area includes: 

  • osteoporosis
  • osteomielitis
  • gout
  • reactive arthritis
  • lumbar discopathy
  • osteoarthritis

The central nervous system (CNS) is the part of the nervous system consisting of the brain and spinal cord. The central nervous system integrates the information received from (and coordinates and influences the activity of) all parts of the human body.

Degenerative disease is the result of a continuous process based on degenerative cell changes, affecting tissues or organs, which will increasingly deteriorate over time, whether due to normal bodily wear or lifestyle choices such as exercise or eating habits. Another reason for the degeneration of cells could be metabolism, both the natural decrease in metabolism as a person ages and abnormalities in metabolic rate due to genetics.

The genitourinary system includes the reproductive organs and the urinary system. These are grouped together because of their proximity to each other, their common embryological origin and the use of common pathways (for example, the male urethra).

  • uterine fibromatosis
  • breast nodules
  • endometriosis

An autoimmune disease is a condition arising from an abnormal immune response to a normal body part. There are at least 80 types of autoimmune diseases and nearly any body part can be involved. Common symptoms include low grade fever and feeling tired. Often symptoms come and go.

Often we see these conditions in patients:

  • lupus erythematosus
  • scleroderma
  • psoriasis
  • Hashimoto thyroiditis
  • multiple sclerosis
  • ankylosing spondylitis

Malignancy is the tendency of a medical condition to become progressively worse and is most commonly a characterization of cancer.

A malignant tumor is not self-limited in its growth, is capable of invading into adjacent tissues, and may be capable of spreading to distant tissues. A non-cancerous, benign tumor has none of the above mentioned properties.

We usually deal with conditions like:

I liked dr Olivia's patience and skills in explaining how to naturally solve my medical problems and I was impressed by her knowledge in the field of holistic nutrition and dietotherapy. I learned how to correctly combine food and that raw foods can be medicine for our body. I also learned how to make raw foods tasty, how important superfoods are and that a healthy lifestyle means regular meals, plenty of water and as many unprocessed foods as possible. Since I started the consulting sessions (and especially in the beginning it was more obvious), I have more energy in my body. What I liked was that I often noticed I can see better at night or in the evening, at dusk, when I drive - fact that gives me higher driving confidence. I also often noticed at different times of the day that I can hear (better and easily) the music that had to be at full volume in the earphones; and some days I hear the music clearly - with the earphones on the table and me standing up. Here I have to be more careful to see how to hold on to these results, so that my hearing is constantly improving. Thank you!
After unsuccessful attempts to 'treat' many 'abnormalities' in my body (increased androgen levels, micropolycystic ovarian syndrome, contraceptive pills that led to hypothyroidism, then treatment for it), I decided to quit contradictory methods and look for something natural and healthy for me. The Internet brought me to The Superfood Doctor. I was hoping to get help, but I did not even imagine what was waiting for me. :) I liked EVERYTHING, first of all because I understood everything. Consultation sessions with dr. Olivia came exactly at the right time, when I was making the worst possible food choices (I'd eat every day at the Pastry shop). I had gained at least 5 kg in a record time and almost gave up daily exercise in favor of laziness and sedentary life. Step by step, through weekly counselling and follow-up with the Dr, I started a healthy, balanced, vegan diet, and in just two months after the beginning of the consultancy program I had lost the 5kg I accumulated, I started eating only clean and light foods that I felt nourished my body and I was completely disciplined concerning my food choices, without any exceptions. Moreover, I have never felt so WELL in my body as I feel right now.
Before the first meeting I had so many questions that I finished all the post-its on my desk. All were related to nutrition, food combinations, vitamin and protein intake, and many more related to live food and the raw-vegan diet. After the first 2-3 sessions I realized that these were not the questions I had to ask. And not because I did not receive an answer to them. Instead of a nutritionist who gives you a list of foods that you 'are allowed' to eat in order to be healthy or lose weight or increase muscle mass, I had found an extraordinary person who helped me discover the importance of balance, acceptance and self-love. Among these very important 'drops', I also learned what principles of the raw-vegan diet I need to follow, in order to prevent any imbalances, deficiencies or surpluses. What more could I ask for? Maybe 13 sessions more. :)
I liked that dr Olivia was always positive and focused during the sessions. At first I had some trouble following the schedule and implementing healthy habits, but dr Olivia was very 'supportive' and brought me back on track every time. She focused on my goals and challenges and created from the very beginning some custom-tailored solutions just to me. I have learned that: 1) You can live without meat. 2) It's not hard to change your eating habits if you really want it. 3) The difference between eating healthy and unhealthy is just a decision you can make whenever you want to - as long as you are self-conscious when you make the decision. How I changed: 1) I created an inner voice that reminds me of how bad I feel after eating junk-food and that does not let me succumb to any small temptation. 2) I take more and more often the decision to eat healthy when I'm faced with making a choice. 3) I feel a little healthier and more energetic and I am sure that if I continue, these sensations will intensify.
